sata is the interface type yes, but has capability of faster data transfer iirc...dont know for sure, kinda been out of the computer hardware game for a while lol

1.5gb/s ~ 150MB/s...when you add in the 80% efficiency (of 1.2gb/s)

S-ATA/150 = 1.5gb/s

S-ATA/300 = 3.0gb/s

most hdd run steady at 50-60 mb/s, with burst maybe around 100-120 on a good day, raptors are faster burst speeds
