Im building a ported box using re caculator.

The box is 28x17.5x14.5

the port width is 2 inches and length is 10.

Comes out to be 2.7@32hz with 32 square port area.

It is for a 12" type R

Any questions or comments. Wondering if everything sounds right for yall

It is in a 2000 camaro hatch

the caculator is saying
port length=25

square port diamiater is 6.1

port area is 30.

W 28.5

H 16.5

D 14
Screencap what you have in the calculator right now. Your not making any sense. Port length has nothing to do with port area. The only thing that factors into port area is your port WIDTH and your port HEIGHT.

You can't with the RE calculator. It's set as the port facing that direction, but you can put the sub wherever you want when you build the box. I did both port and sub facing up in my hatch.

I wouldn't really recommend building an enclosure entirely from the RE calc. I've heard it's not all that accurate. I've built one from it in the past, and it turned ok, but if you can actually take the time to design it yourself, you should. Or at least have one of the designers on here whip something up for you.

ima bought 2 check moe's

The hatch isnt givin me any depth only 11 inches to sit in the complete bottom.

What dont you trust about re caculator any backers on that

i just took 1 of moes 2.1@32hz and entered all of the dimensions in re calc it came out

2.6@28hz

and the cutouts aint the same.

You trust moes more then re?
