I am new to these forums so please bare with me. Just installed my fully loaded FI SP4 last night. AND THAT THING SLAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was worth the wait I will go ahead and say. First question: Is there a period of time where the sub needs to be broken in? If so, what is the time period? Second question: I was looking into purchasing a SAZ 3500 to upgrade my amp. I am currently running a Hifonics BRX 2400.1d which doesn't sound bad, but I know the Sundown SAZ 3500 would give the sub more power. However, the person who built my box said before I go and buy an upgraded amp I need to upgrade my alt. How true is this? Third Question: If I do need to upgrade my alt does anyone know a company that makes H/O alts for the newer model KIA Optima's? I haven't been able to find anything on the net (I attempted to do my homework) Again sorry if this is too many questions at once. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!

Some subwoofers can have a "break-in" period, hook em up and turn em up, they're broke-in.

Yes, you need an upgraded alternator, Kia Optima High Output Alternators

LOL, thanks for the, "breaking in period," as well as the info on why I need to upgrade my alt. Here is where the problem comes in. I have a 2013 Kia Optima. The link to the website that you sent to me does not have a H/O alt for the 2013 (I should have specified in my original post). I do thank you very much for your timely response. I have contacted Mike Singer, and also Iragii (excuse the spelling if its wrong) and I haven't heard back from either one of them.
