I Drive a Buic LeSabre Limited 1997 which has a fairly larger trunk.

soemtime this week i will be installing an 18 inch woofer in either a sealed or ported enclosure.( i am building both a 5.7 @26 hz ported and a 3.8 sealed)

The drive was put to gether by patrick at Robot undergrounds... and ill be powering it with a power acoustik BAMF5500 I know from having simply 2 12 inch sony xplods that i will be needing some deadening on the trunk but i am unsure of the amount i would need and where the most neccesary place to put it at. i took some pictures of my trunk but catn seem to figure out how to uplaod them onto the site..... anyone with advice would be helpful im currently reading up on differnt types and the prices but im up for suggestions.. and of course cheaper=better but at reasonable sacrifice.

no havnt had thich enough wiring for my amp yet just got 8 gauge wire from my old amp but im hooking it up today with the ported box gonna see how it works... tommorrow ill have the sealed box

The trunk lid will cause you the most rattles. From there, id say listen yourself and see where its needed most.
Have you verified that RU subwoofer works yet? I certainly would.
I just got my amp and capacitor hooked up last night i tried to hook up the speaker but it didnt seem to work... i may have wired it wrong the amp is getting power and the gain remote seems to work, but the speaker did not power up its dual 4 ohm i went +amp to + coil #1 and - to - coil #2 then - coil #1 to + coil #2

im thinking i might have wired it wrong at the amp side or the woofer just doesnt work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif its got two speaker outputs but its a monoblock

its got +,+ on the left and -,- on the right should i use only one of these both of these doese it matter if i use left + with left - or what? like i said i lost the manual if anyone has any experience with this amp let me know...

Im not familiar with that mp specifically, but many monoblocks have dul pos and neg speaker outputs simply to make wiring multiple subs (or coils) to the amplifier. Internally they are wired together.
