budget system

OK, just trying to plan out a super-budget system here. This is going into a 1995 Honda Accord sedan. The goal is just to improve the sound from the stock 10yr old OEM system. I already own the the amp and Blaupunkt components, and the pioneer unit is a pretty inexpensive unit (~$130).

I'm curious to know what people think about the Tang Band woofer though? I've heard that Tang Band makes some killer 6.5" woofers, but there haven't been very many comments about the rest of thier line. Anyone have an opinion? A subwoofer is not an option in this setup.

Here is the stuff I plan on using:

(1) Pioneer DEH-P3700MP (click here for specs) ~$130 new

(1) MTX Thunder 4244 (specs) $50 used

(1 set) Blaupunkt TSc660 components (specs) $45 new

(1 set) TangBand W69-1042 6x9 woofers (specs) ~$45 new

I also think I wouldn't need more than $40 for an amp kit and an extra set of RCA's. Not going for a super high end sound system, but I'm hoping this combination should do well. Any comments or cheaper suggestions would be geat. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

tang band 6.5 and 8" woofers are pretty killer. I imagine the 6x9 would work pretty well. I was never too happy with my blaupunkt speakers but there was nothing wrong with them just pretty basic. (that was back in the day though. )

I don't think you'll have a problem. Aren't walmart amp kits like $25-30? I imagine you'll have fun with that!
