Budget sub for this box?

A box came with the sub I bought but I had one custom made for my car. I'm now thinking of putting a budget sub in it, finding a budget amp, and giving it to my youngest brother for his birthday. Anyway I did some rough calculations and I figure the internal volume is ~1 ft^3. It can hold a 10" sub, the chamber is 15in long, 13.5in in diameter, and has port that is 4.5in long w/ a 2in radius. I figure if need be I can take the port out and seal it. Any recommendations would be great.

Id re do the face and put the opening there, not the stupid bandpass style
