Budget Pioneer Sub and Box

I am thinking about getting 12" Pioneer TS-W306DVC sub (Specs- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5291.html#). I have heard good things about it for the money, but still would like some input on it. Also, what prefab box would be best for it to get good SQ and SPL?

Great sub, the '04 version was very comparable to the '04 type R, but for almost half the price.

The amp I have not decided on. I am a newbie at car audio, so I do not want to build my own box. I would much rather buy a prefab one.

i did an install with 2 ts-w306c's and for the price i was very impressed, so was the customer

I'd recommend 2.5 NET @ 27hz, yielded amazing results

or if you want to go sealed, 2 cu ft^3 NET.

virgin box builders sometimes do a good job, just get the tools and go for it

I don't know if they are better than the comp Vr's but for the price the 306 is almost unbeatable...

Cbass- I am thinking of doing a single 12". Do you think a 1.3 cu ft gives good SQ and SPL? Also, should I go ported or not?
