I need a head unit that is relatively inexpensive, offers USB support and some way to connect my mp3 player. I used to use a cassette tape, but the quality is bad so I need a unit with good reception to use a radio transmitter or a unit with blue tooth.

Any ideas?

^this is the one I was referring to. BUY

wow that alpine ida-x200 is sure cheap on ebay, how costly and where can I get the wiring harness?

Also looked at the KENWOOD EXCELON KDC-X493, and seems like a more solid buy because its new. Any comparisons between the two?

i wouldn't. both of the ida models i had (x001 and x100 + imprint kit) had terrible sq. the kenwood i have now (x993) blows away the alpine in sq.
