BUDGET Head Unit Suggestions

Doing a fun budget bass racer for my close buddy and getting ready to order him a basic head unit for the install. He doesnt need anything special, but must have 3 sets of rca out puts, remote, pause and of coarse a play cds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif. Yea not a fan of the new low end pioneers, have had nothing but problems with them. Installed a ton of them localy and they just dont last, also had quite a few that were DOA. Probally end up doing a Alpine or Kenwood excelon. Dont have alot of experence w/ many low end units other then pioneer. I would do an eclipse, but no pause FTL.

Corey I have been installing several of the lower end Clarions and have been having great luck. I have had 1 warranty return in 2 years with Clarion as a whole. Just a suggestion. Also the Fusion units you see on ebay make very nice bassrace vehicle CD players. Otherwise pm me and I will see what I can get you for pricing as well sir.

my old eclipse cd8445 had pause if i remember correcly. its higher than your budget, although it might not be too much more, i bought mine when it was new in 2006 i think.

I was about to say go with a Clarion too. I had 3 and I loved them all. frys.com should have one for you. You may be able to find a brand new 06-07 model for a nice price on eBay. I had a nice one, but I gave it to my buddy after I broke the flap down face. It would come off, but it didn't flap down anymore. I switched to Pioneers after that.

I like Kenwood, but that purple background looks kinda gay, maybe in person it will look more like "prince purple" so it won't be as bad, but good that's a good hu.
