Budget Build - What you think?

Goin to do this for my buddy, in a Honda Passport. He is still in high school and just wants a decent street beater

(1) Sundown SAZ1500 from dB-r $359

(1) Deka 9a31 with stock batt $150

(1) Positive Run 1/0 Welding Cable Red from Weldingsupply.com $42

(1) Negative Run 1/ 0 Welding Cable Black from Weldingsupply.com $49

Box around 4 cubes tuned to 36 hz

Thats around $930 not including fuses, terminals etc. Suggestions?

you coulda got my xx-hercules around 2200 watts for less than that saz-1500 but looks good for a daily beater.

My 10 does not like one 1200D @ .5 ohm heats up at 1200w clipped a little, LOVED 2500 rms from the two 1200d's barely got warm with 2000 clamped

I woulnt tune those aq's that low for one thing tune to 36-38 and you will still catch the lows.But I really would consider 2 sdc2.5 15's tuned at 35 it's gonna be louder than both 12's and a bit cheaper to do,he has the room.

james is right,The sdc's would be louder off 750 a piece than the hdc's will,the hdc's need way more power

yeah if you have the room, 2 sdc2.5 15's at 38hz not 35, on that saz1500 would hit harder than 2 hdc3 12's off 1500w, most people are running more than 1500w on each hdc3

or for that matter... and even cheaper, 1 hdc3 18 off that saz 1500 wouldn't be too bad

Id say research a bit more cause im sure you cand find a used btl or something very similar on here for cheaper than 359, as for amp, the ap30001d is like 300 new or if you get with basscort2009 he has an older ap that will do .35 burps his is good priced also. You also need to lookinto some components for that vehcle. Since when is budget build 1100, i think budget i think like 150-400 but either way GLWB
