budget amp

just know the apsm will not do a clean 2k, maybe about 1500 guessing off what the others have benched.
no they don't, but if you are realistic, and properly set the gain, they are hard to beat for the price-hence the optimum word; budget. not everybody can plop down upwards of 300 for an amp. i got lucky and found a saz1500v.3 for 340, or the apsm2000 would still be hooked up.

this........

I was looking at the 4000/1D bamf from PA.
the only P.A. amp i would use now would be the 5500/1d bamf... good for about 1800 - 2000rms... the 4000/1d bamf, MIGHT give you 1200 rms at the most. or i would love to have one of these. they dont make them anymore and they are pretty rare. its the "power acoustik a3000db" this amp actually does rated power, 2300rms @ 1 ohm... they are power acoustik but were made in a different build house...

right the 1500 benched a clean 1200 on a resistive load, on one that will be fluxiating you may see a bit more. but thats on really good electrical too.

I have had the apsm 600,1500, and the 2000. I enjoyed them all because i took them for what they are, nice budget amps for those of us that like decent poundage from something we can afford. The 2000 was on a set of skar ma-8's at 2ohms in a prorabbit aeroport box, 1.3??? at 32hrtz and it did everything i wanted. It says 1400 at 2, i know it wasn't, but it was a decent set up. They give you the bass knob in-line fuse AND the fuse holder at a damm good price for what they can do. Yeah, i have a saz1500v.3, but that 2000 is still one of the best amps i have run. Would not hesitate to put it back in the ride. And yes, i am in love with my 1500v.3, but the 2000 isn't going away, it will stay where it is, the closet.
