Why do you want to run crap power to a good sub? If you can't save $100 to get a good amp you might want to find a new hobby.

Not a competition setup never competed. My money more so goes towards my truck rather than an audio setup. I just have the audio for the daily grind....my enjoyment. People have budgets....I buy what I can and a 300-400 dollar amp ain't going to cut it. Hell y am I even explaining myself.?

Buy something good once instead of something cheap, low quality twice or more. Get a used good amp. Plenty of those in your budget.

Those PPI Black Ice amps are based on Soundstream Rubicons. Lots of positive reviews out there on them too. The 1300 watt amp someone linked to on page 1 of this thread is a good deal. Plenty 'o powa!

so i know i wanted alittle more power but figured what the hell give the ppi bk1300.1D a try. leaves me alittle left over to go towards building materials and supplies.

Anyone use the bamf series from PA? What about the new series of amps from audiobahn?

i have, & i still have one as a back up amp..... they aint the best but i like them. someone will bash me for saying i like the bamf/5500's but oh well

thanks for the input.... i read a few reviews that the PA's caught fire so it turned me away.

like i mentioned before im giving PPI a shot with their new black ice series.

i love this forum. if you dont buy american bass, crescendo, Audioque/soundqubed, DC audio, Sundown Audio etc then its automaticly labeled as garbage.... not matter what.... thats why i dont ask amp & sub questions anymore. only box questions

no the reviews were on sonicelectronix i believe...

yeah i hear ya on the if its not those brands its garbage. i just like to see what people say....respect opinions
