Buck Box Designs 2022 :)

My back started giving me problems at the end of 2021, had to rest for the first bits of January. I'm doing designing and just taking my time, as I get warmed back up for 2022. Over the past year, I sure did learn a lot. All that I would like to do for 2022 is just keep getting better and better.

Anyways, here's my first design for 2022: 4 Sundown Sa-18's series 6th order bandpass wall sliding into a large SUV.

The front port is removable, and this was designed to be used for a wide variety of subs, and every sub can be regular or inverse mounted. It's tuned for a fairly heavy low end/daily response. The Sa-18 v2's seem almost like a little brother to the older Zv2 18's (iirc), at least when it comes to their box sizes. This wall is sliding into a 2x4 shell that is already built inside of the SUV.

How can you spend so much time on here but not design boxes? Don't you do them both in a computer?

good looking build. My 200$ table saw and Ryobi router would need a serious upgrade to tackle this one. Are those kerfed ports or 45 degree angles? Hard to tell from the pics. The subtle accents on the wood grain came out good too.

If you’re ever interested in my health problems, I have some variation of this. I have most/many of the issues they list in the complications section. I highly suspect I will die from heart problems at some point, idk when. I’m struggling to move my body; all of the basic functions of the body I have fairly serious issues with, and I’m 30 now. This past year, my health issues have really become significantly worse, so I’m doubting I’ll ever be able to return to designing unless some miracle comes along. So, if you ever wonder why I can’t design, this is why:

It’s a series 6th; the black octoports are the rear ports and the very short octo is the front port.
