brutus BXi1606D = confusion

if you mean 4 speaker connections monoblocks do this to make hooking up more speakers easy, the +'s and -'s are just tied together (parallel) on the circuit board.

so if i want to wire up an IDMAX which has dual 2 ohm coils how would i run the wires to the amp? i need the amp to have a 4 ohm load.

Both connectors are wired together, internally in parallel. You can either wire it at 1ohm at the sub and just use one set of the terminals.Or you could run a wire from each coil to each terminal on the amp.Doesn't matter either way, up to you.

Either run a set of wires from each coil to the appropriate terminal on the amp

or

a jumper from + to + and another from - to - on the sub, then one wire from - on the sub to - on the amp and one from + on the sub to + on the amp

oops, just saw mountaineer beat me to it

^ if they are dual2, you can wire it to .5 or 2ohms. That amp is stable @ .5ohms. I used to have that amp, been there done that....

As for the IDMAX, you can wire it to get 1600rms. After boxrise, and voltage drops, your getting much less... than 1600.
