Brought an JL amp on ebay

My brother bought a JL 500/1000 mono amp through ebay and DAMM it took about 6 weeks to shipped..plus the amp doesn't have a serial number...why is that? Don't all electronic came with a serial number? That would mean that if my amp get stolen or blown then im screw since i cant reported or repaired

since you bought it off ebay you have no warrenty.

Since it does not have a serial # maby it was stolen in the first place.

and did you buy 2 amps? or just one?

Cause it is eather a 1000/1 or 500/1 not both.

Oh..my bad..its a 1000/1. and he bought it through ebay express..for i think $600.

What a waste of $600 - why spend so much money on unauthorized products? If it blows your are SOL.

I bought JL XR comps, coaxs and a 300/4 used and the amp didn't work so I wasted $40 on return shipment to Canada. **** ebay

i bought a soundstream pic1.1700d from millionbuy's ebay store.

it blew, and i exchanged it for a power acoustik a3000db (they told me there were multiple returns of the soundstream)

the pa came doa, so i have now sent that back.

by the time i get the next replacement it will have been; 3 months since the original order, and $150 in shipping costs (all paid by me)!

but at least they are authorized pa dealers, so they have to exchange it for me, but shipping is really a killer.

also, do JL amps usually have a SN? i'm not sure all car audio products do, but i'm not sure on JL.

if it doesn't have one at all, that's bad..... not even a real JL product(?)

yea most of these buyers problems are they dont look into the reference of the ebay company's, Check there feedback's and such. I have done over 100 buys on ebay, and not 1 bad thing have i received, I bought speakers , had them replaced with no problem with warrenty.. Look into the product and the seller first. make sure they have over 10,000 buys and over 98 percent positive feedback.. thanks

All JL products sold online have the Ser #'s removed because there are NO authorized online dealers for JL. They demand that their retailers are B&M locations due to customer service standards.
