Bridging

you should pull it out of the box and check for sure, like people have told you at least 5 or 6 times already... it will be marked on the basket or motor... from the info you gave on your last thread, I'm telling you, its a dual 2. please actually do the work yourself, as no one on here is going to spoon feed you the info, and most on here won't even be that patient with you.

every one chill. this stuff is really confusing for somebody who just starting this ****. Why do you all care wether i email the seller or look my self.

i personally dont care... but you have to realize that we deal with a ton of noobs on a daily basis... and a large majority of them have the "i know everything about everything" attitude. which is one of the reasons that it has become kinda hard for noobs to get the info they need here... and if you post something that is percieved as that attitude, you will quickly lose all help that you will recieve here.

as far as why it matters that you pull the sub, your going to have to pull it anyways, to wire it correctly... and it is a good way to start learning

Ok i admitt that i know very little im not a total noob i know some of the basics. Didnt mean to sound like an expert or whatever if thats what you guys were thinking. Anyways the guy never answered and since im a little impatient im gona go out there and take the sub out and look myself. so if it can be rewired could you please post a link on how to do the other part. (the only info i can find is bridging the amp. what i posted in first post). Also am i going to have to buy more wire?

ok so i took the sub out of box. Took bout 3 minutes. Ya i probly should of just done that a long time ago. SOrry bout that lol. Ok so this is how the wiring looks. Im pretty sure it already is wired to 4 ohms. My friend might have done it when he installed it for me. Anyway this is how the wire look just like someone posted in my last thread.

ok sorry for this triple post. I just wana be done with this and im sure you guys do also. This is my question lol.I even took some pictures to make sure everything is wired right. Im pretty sure it is but dont wana be wrong and damage something when i bridge the amp. Okay so here it is. So if my research is correect all i need to now is bridge it over to the amp right? Just like the link that 50cent posted plug wire into the negative of one channel and the positive into the positive of the second channel? In the picture if you cant see it says cvr 12 on the right and under that is says 2 ohms. On the the other picture you can see the wiring is just like the picture posted in my other link. So this means its a 2 ohm sub wired to 4 ohms right? do i need to buy new wire or can i use the same one currently pluged into amp. and i have wiring that can take up 680 watts pretty sure its 6 gauge either that or 8 gauge.

it is wired correctly bro. and yes, all you need to do is bridge it to your amp, on the + and - terminals that the amp is marked "bridged" ... then just set your gains, properly, and you will be all set

Yess thank you dude. **** im so excited haha. i just hope i didnt damage something that much cuz iv'e been riding around with the bass boost like a quarter of the way up. learned thats bad. But oh well thank you everyone for sticking with me and helping. ima go see how much louder this ***** is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

not a problem... and i doubt you damaged anything with the bass boost... you can usually tell pretty quickly, when you burn a coil, or fry something on the amp... but yes, bass boost = bad

and would you guys say i should DEFINATLY by a dmm to set gains? like can you do it by ear cuz thats what my friend is saying. Ok lol now im done i will never post on this thread again haha

i wouldnt listen to your friend about anything car audio, lol... clipping occurs way before the octave, and frequency that the human ear can pick up.... DMM is a minimum for it... o-scope is the right way
