bridging amp?

so even if i connect my positive and my negative to a single voice coil. it wont equal a 4 ohm load?
You could connect each of the sub's terminals to it's own channel on the amplifier, but I wouldn't recommend it (it'd be okay if you knew what you were doing, but you don't).

The MTX you're looking at does 300 watts @ 2 ohms. Just save up some more money, kid. It'd be best to buy something that'll give you the option of upgrading, because you'll probably get bored with that Kicker sub in no time flat.
