if you bridge an amp to get its max power, will this cause it to heat faster or even overheat faster? thanks
If your sub can be wired to a 4 ohm load, and the amp provides the power you need it to, it should be okay.well i know what bridging an amp does but i want to run a 600 watt max hitron amp on a 2003 model kicker cvr 12" dvc 4 ohm, its 400 rms and 800 max..i think i shouldve explained it better..the way i put it, it was like i was trying to say i am trying to gett 900 watts out of an 500 watt amp..i didnt mean it like that i meant like how you said it to get the max power to that one channel....
just noticed it's 4 ohm dvc.You can't wire a DVC4 woofer to 4 ohms...
A 4 ohm dual voice coil subwoofer can only be wired to 2 or 8 ohms. The Hitron amp you're looking at isn't stable at 2 ohms bridged, and it'll produce next to no power at an 8 ohm load.what do you mean when it wont work if its a 4 ohm sub that is dvc?
