bridging amp?

I think you may be a little confused as to what bridging an amp does. It does not increase power, per say. It increases the power PER channel, but also lowers the number of channels available. In order to help you without having you fry your equipment, can you tell us the model number of the amp and subs/speakers you're trying to connect here?

well i know what bridging an amp does but i want to run a 600 watt max hitron amp on a 2003 model kicker cvr 12" dvc 4 ohm, its 400 rms and 800 max..

i think i shouldve explained it better..the way i put it, it was like i was trying to say i am trying to gett 900 watts out of an 500 watt amp..i didnt mean it like that i meant like how you said it to get the max power to that one channel....

If your sub can be wired to a 4 ohm load, and the amp provides the power you need it to, it should be okay.
