i was just wondering if its real or not, if its real how do you properly break in a sub?
yea i tried looking for a thread on it, thought it would be on a sticky or something but no luck.I think their is already thread about this. I cant remember what exactly was the "right" answer. But many dont do it, and some do it for quite sometime. I am one that doesnt, I just crank it up and keep pushing.
yea i wish i had a oscope for the clipping part lol, its for a 10'' w6 but there website says rms range is 200-600rms so not sure what rms to use lolPlay it on normal power as long as you're not clipping. More of less a myth. If you're scared free air it on low power to loosen it up.
1000 watts?yea i wish i had a oscope for the clipping part lol, its for a 10'' w6 but there website says rms range is 200-600rms so not sure what rms to use lol
^^^anyone see how sick this guy is? pretty sick guy here.Breaking a sub in is a myth. Once you play it a day or so the suspension loosens up, which in turn the fs drops so it plays lower
This sums it up. Store put my Xs in, told me to play them a day at half volume to loosen them up. To make sure everything was installed properly the owner cranked my stuff before we pulled it out of the garage. If a sub fails in the first 48hrs and hasn't seen clipping, it was poorly manufactured or had faulty parts.Subs do have a break in period but you do not have to break them in before you can play full tilt.
