10's for SQ around 500w rms each?

I'm looking to replace my 2 12's with 2 10's for SQ. My current amp is by DLS and I believe it gives out 500w rms at 1 ohm. What brand/sub should I be looking at? Thanks

So..you're amp is putting out 500w @ 1 ohm, so you're going to want subs that are rated @ 250w a piece? Or will it give each sub 500w?

I'm fairly sure it is just 500 x 1 @ ohm.

So that opens a large door in what you may want. If you go new Cadence and SSA both have some great subs that work well on low power. If you go used then there are a ton of options.

A budget would be needed to be able to suggest different options though.

I have a DLS A6, so it's rated for 1200w at 1ohm, so would that be 600 rms at 0.5 ohms to each sub? I haven't been "in the game" for a while, but my current setup is wired correctly as both subs are DVC.

Any ways, my budget would probably be around $100/sub? Not necessarily looking for brand new, used would suffice, just don't know what specifically to look for. I think around $250 for both subs is around a decent price?

Big 3 is done, running 2 batteries, yellowtops, I was running 2 12''s IDQ's fine with Pheonix Gold RSD's. I think I can get around 80-90A from my alt?

you have no idea what that amp really is do you? That amp is something I'd run.

as for subs you already know you like the 12's so I'd just use the same as 10's

I'd get a DCON 12" or 15" or something similar. amazing SQ and they will take 500w daily.

Sonic has the Image Dynamics ID10 D4 V.3 for 139, so I guess I can get 2 of those?

Would 2 10's still be better than just keeping one of my 12's?

You could sell the amp and use that to fund a new setup and more then likely pocket a little money in the process.
