yup, alpines subs are still GREAT for a mainstream brand
i'm not a huge huge fan of type-r's, but it seems like they've definitely improved them over the years
and i LOOOOOOVE the type-x's
and people complain about their new head units, but i don't really think they've declined in quality, only in features, and most companies are doing the same thing
people just don't want to pay for extra features, and those of us who love ridiculous features are suffering the concequences

is surround sound necessary? no.... but does music sound ridiculously cool through a dolby processor? hell yes it does
