As for Phoenix Gold, quite a few people will say they havent made anything worthwhile since the tantrum line was discontinued.

Although, didnt a large number of the original PG engineers (from when they were top notch) form Exile?

Some people say that, but I find often people just jump on the bandwagon of what other people say. Being the owner of some ole, and new school pg equipment, i can tell you that the quality has always been there. The new pg lines sound just as good or better than the older ones. Now that the engineer of the ms is one of the head in charge, I can only see things getting great. ms amps were steller. Pg is here to stay, and im anxtious to see what other high end lines they will have to offer in the near future.. Here is a nice of the xenon actually. i had a x200.4 just got back from being checked over and replaced some parts on it. its a wonderful amp, i wish i had it back in my car but i think i may just sit on it.

yup, alpines subs are still GREAT for a mainstream brand

i'm not a huge huge fan of type-r's, but it seems like they've definitely improved them over the years

and i LOOOOOOVE the type-x's

and people complain about their new head units, but i don't really think they've declined in quality, only in features, and most companies are doing the same thing

people just don't want to pay for extra features, and those of us who love ridiculous features are suffering the concequences

is surround sound necessary? no.... but does music sound ridiculously cool through a dolby processor? hell yes it does
