i heard RF was going downhill for a while but recently have started putting out high quality products..

any other brands?

i think that the newer, 05+ eclipses, besides the top of the line leave things to be desired.

PG is no more...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Most large companies aren't producing the quality they once were as smaller firms.

Believe it or not, Jensen used to make high quality field coil speakers and high end amplifiers that sell on Ebay in the $400-$500 range //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Alpine...new CD players are POS. and Jim is right, PG is gone. I cant speak for eclipse being that I havent played with their new lines, but it wouldnt suprise me if in years to come they go down the shitter because of Circuit City carrying their stuff (similar to Alpine with Best Buy).

i have great luck with my 9855. just as nice as my 7995 and 7998s were. quality is still the same. why is it that you dont like them, just curious, not disputing your opinion.

RE has recently taken a stumble with the DIY section, mostly because of price hikes and a suddent jump to a 100% dealer network.

Adire's recent products have had high failre rates and Dan's business practices are becomming more and more like Ben's.

Adire FTW

I was a big fan of their older drivers. I had a few of the MK2 brahmas, and I really enjoyed them.

But these days they don't have a single driver that I would even consider putting in my car.

Wrong!! I spoke with errin, and this is what I got.

Me: Who bought pg?

Him: It was purchased internally by the VP with a few investors he knew to back him.

Me:Thank god, so the quality wont change.

HIm: It'll change, but for the better.........the VP of engineering was asked to leave months ago........we now have one of the engineers for MS as the head, I see quality getting even better.

Quality is not going to change. If anyone remembers the ms amps, then you know there is good to come. The ms engineer is the head //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I use a 9855 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Eventhough the 9835-9855 was a step down (only because of glidetouch, they are esentially the same units). The 06 line is a POS.
