A possibility, remote at best //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Even then, there's better choices than JL "subs" for midbass, something tells me those wouldn't be in door or kickpods //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

To the OP:

Are you willing to buy used equipment?

And what kind of power will you have available to drive this/these sub(s) you're wanting to buy that "POUNDSSSS" ??

For $130 a pop something that realistically fits the description of what you're after might be a bit of a stretch - and if you don't/won't have adequate power on tap it's a moot point anyway...

ok don't so where does the whole you heard sony sucks fall in???
last time i was on this site, i told people i had to 12inch xplods..1500maxx each, an i had a 9 pg of bein *****d at saying how much they **** so i was like oh wonderfull

For starters on pretty much every piece of aftermarket car audio equipment you own or might own currently or in the future a good place to start would be to completely disregard peak or max power ratings ~ whether they be input ratings on speakers or subs or output ratings on amplifiers.

Those ratings are useful for nothing more than marketing purposes and as such can be dismissed out of hand as immaterial information.

Nominal, Continuous, or RMS ratings are where it's at. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Those statistics are much more indicative of the real-world performance you might can expect from any given piece of gear.

yea i was told that... so bascially when shopping for subs & amps just see the RMS, u have any brand names in mind? i schould check out?

yea you know the sony explode amps 1,000 max then in fine print in the specs "100x2 rms " so yea thats what it actually does and most the time the max is when you have the perfect situation

perfect box perfect conditions i think alot of companys rate there max of there amps at 17-20 volts which is really hard to obtain so yea the sony thing is a moot point
