What kind of DB can i expect from this combination? I'm trying to decide whether I should run it bridged to 4 ohms or each coil on it's own channel at 2 ohms? Thanks.

well the size of the sub and they type of box you do make a big difference in our decision, but it should be very loud

For ease of wiring and eveness of driving load on the coils, run it at 4 ohm bridged, it's the same to the amp as 2 ohm stereo anyway.

I thought running one channel to each voice coil caused them to work against each other? is there some way around this?

The only way that would happen is if you run them in reverse polarity on accident. You'd notice it when you turned it up and got little sound out of the deal.
