On my second box now. First box was 3.5 cubed tuned to 34hz. It didn't hit the lows very well. Box now is 3.3 cubed tuned to 32 hz. It is hitting the lows but not as hard as I want it to. I was thinking about getting another box built and tuning it to 30-28 hz. What do you guys think? Would it be louder or will it just sound better?

Go 4 cubes tuned 25-28hz if you want the lows. 25hz is a good tuning. If your crazy tune to 20hz. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

smh.. it SAYS 2003, but I see a n00b.

there is no need to tune that low, there is really no need to EVER go under 30 hz, EVER.

unless it's for HT, there is no need.

Some people really like really low bass. BTW I am no newbie... He said he wanted it to go lower, so I told him to tune lower. The Brahma 15 can be tuned low, it can be a low end monster.

Tune lower, push phase anomalies below your bandwidth, and have linear output for songs with low frequency content (and yes, there are songs with notes below 30 Hz). Also, with the increased popularity of in dash DVD players that you can watch movies on, why not tune below 30 Hz? Lots of low frequency content in those. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

On high-end notes, yes.

It will be a low-end monster though.
Can you describe what you mean by high-end and what you mean by you will lose high-end output? Keeping in mind that an enclosure is essentially a high-pass filter....

At the moment, I am ready to pull the trigger on 3.5 tuned to 28hz. I have about 900 watts to work with which is probably more then enough to power the brahma. What do you guys think?
