By some yes. He wants a big brand name like "Sony" or Audiobahn, Kicker, etc... Some shitty brand name pretty much is what he's looking for (except on Kicker).

: ) seriously though, it's a bad ass sub, if he got a bigger amp, or another of the same one.. he could put two amps on that one sub, it can take it hardcore.

I find it hard to believe alpine is not well known(and is audiobahn is more known than alpine) in miami FL.

Better beleive it. Audiobahn and Kicker run Miami. Thats pretty much all these people here know about. Every single store either has Kicker or Audiobahn. They think Audiobahn is the **** and will try to deny every thing else about any other brand to get you to buy Audiobahn. For example I went into a store called "superior sound" (sw 56st) and I know the manager. We sat down to talk and I told him I sold my audiobahn a1300hct for a Orion 2500d. He's like "oh no you should have gotten an audiobahn a2300hct, I dont like Orion they arent that good and you should change your L7s if you wanna be loud and have reliable subs look into JBL or Audiobahn, your L7s will get loud but they arent reliable"

if you go to the fleamarket in miami you see audiobahn, sony, kicker... bumper.. NITRO audio.. **** like that.

the PHAT rubber surround and the huge magnets win the day down here.

nobody speaks english, so looks matter alot.

if you want the most for your buck you have to use multiple brands IMO

you can grab deals out the wazzo if your savvy,and its impossible to be savvy when your limiting yourself to one stinkin brand

Look at my RSX system,it cost about 1/3rd retail - and its makes me grin from ear to ear for about 300 more than your buddys budget

I have Kickers subs with an Orion amp and still deciding on what speakers to get. Ill show him the subs that were posted up and the amp. If he doesnt like them then im going to have to talk him out of staying with 1 brand.

Same thing I said! Especially after I had told my friend (girl) that I would hook her up with my whole Stinger 4 gauge amp kit for $30, she got impatient and just took everything to best buy and got ripped.

Just told my friend about this and he said he's very interested. He just says that "are you sure 1 would be good enough" and he said "I liked how your system sounded before" ( i had two 15" kicker L7s with 1 audiobahn a1300hct, probably running like 350rms to each, around 650 combined). He wants it around as loud as I had mine.
