when you port a sub, it needs a specific setup, you cant just toss it in a random box size and sound decent AT ALL. sealed boxes you can SORTA get away with it, but ported boxes are a whole new ball of wax.
to figure out what you need, tell us what you have. if youre familiar with t/s specs, and winisd (http://www.linearteam.org), then it wont be too hard to explain, but based on your question, im gonna assume that you arent (no offense bro)
I realize what your saying, but I already know which sub I'm getting, and pretty much what it needs. I just wanted to shop around a little bit and see what's out there. Know of any sites?
the only reason i said what i did in the previous post is that the mainstream audio companies dont tell you what the best box sizes are...they compromise so they can say they have the 'smallest box sizes' compared to everyone else...the only way to make sure youll get the most out of a sub is to design the box yourself.
