i do what i can:fro:

the best part is...i work in a tire shop. the only wood/glass/body tools in the shop are mine...and somehow, i have an entire bay all to myself for boxes and such.

Looks real nice man, Ill probablly be following the same thing this weekend, got the same dip in the middle under my rear seat.

But is it bad for the sub to firing upward? Im probablly mistaken here, but for some reason I remember hearing it was bad for it.

bad for it...naw. not the best sound...maybe. i've heard down firing in a truck sounds better, but i've got these firing up port forward.

Im just trying to decide if I should have these Assasins firing up down or forward in my wee sealed box lol. But how many layers did you end up having on the bottom there?

i sent the kid to radio shack to get the leds, and when he came back he told me there was a guy there that was pretty knowledgeable about car stereos, and when i get done he should bring it down there to show him. he was telling me that the guy had 2 12s and 2 15s in his truck. i said "oh hell no, this guy don't know about car stereos" and his reply was..."yeah he does, he has these special square kicker subs, that are specially designed to only produce pressure in a straight line, thats why his box was only as big as the sub. it doesn't have to be that wide, cause there's not gonna be any pressure there anyway.

WTF?????

i said...don't ever go there again.
