Box tuning

I have 6 cubes of internal space for 2 12" subs or 2 15" subs. I would like to tune them to 32 or 34 hz. How do I figure out how big the slot needs to be and how deep? Internal size of box is 15.5 tall, 17 deep and 40 wide.

Size of the port is relative to box size and power. 3 cubes is too small for almost every 15 and on the large side for 12s. I'd say 12s and go 14ish sq inches per net cube. So 84 sq inches of port. Make your port 15.5 tall 5.5 wide and like 20-25 inches long. However, that gross volume only gives you like 3.8 net before sub displacement so def go 12s and feed em plenty of power. This box would be perfect for a high powered 15 like a DC lvl5 on 3k+. Brace it good.

Edit. Scratch that. I based port area on 6 cubes. Make the port 4 inches wide and 13.75 inches long for 33 hz and 5.3 cubes before dispacement. Just fine for 2 12s or a single 15.
