box tuning specs for a jl 13w6?

Hey guys im new to this stuff and i'm looking to get a box built by someone but he's asking me the box tuning that i desire. Im a noob and have no idea how to figure that out or wats even good for my sub. any help? i appreciate it guys. also the cubic feet the box requires? i assume that has to do with tuning too
