box to fit 02 gm sierra ext cab

Just traded up to an 02 gm sierra ext cab that comes in next week. How do the pre-fab boxes fit in these trucks? only room for 1 sub without removing the tool box like the 88-98's? Is there one designed for a 12" sub? i remeber the max was 10 in the old trucks. Also because i cant see right now, what size are the door speakers? i have a set of MB quart 6.5's and wondering if theyll fit

The prefab boxes fit great or you can make your own. I personally bought mine from Subthump.com for like 150 or something and it is really clean lookin

I too am curious about the down firing. My setup is different because I have a crew but I will have to down fire as well. I currently have a set of tens that bang into the back of the seat but on the crew its a metal backed seat.

The subthump boxes look to be a nice setup so too for probox

How do you like that Brutus? I was thinking of one of those... good price tons of power

z71999, is that the ultra deep from subthump? I have an ultra deep from them but its a little different so i thought I would ask. Subthump seems to make nice pre-fabs from what I can tell at least

I fit two 12's under my rear seat, firing up. It sounds pretty good.

All I did was build 2" blocks to lift the back seat. I built a box that is essentially the same as the one shown above. The only downside is your seatbelt will no longer reach (female side). You could remount those too, but I refuse to be responsible for any results of the latter...

I will try to get pics, I recessed the top of the box over the ****** hump so I could mount my amp there and still get sufficient air flow and cooling.
