Yea I was going to say, If its over a large flat panel, you may as well glue down $10 bills for added strength, because thats about what you will get. Alot of money for relatively no strength. Just use the dowels and call it a day.

Excellent info. If I were the king at box building I would need neither but as it stands I will reinforce with both dowels AND resin/mat. I figure I can dope the corners to keep them together and put a few "rods" in the middle to keep flex down...

being a box building *King* doesnt mean that you can build it without supports.

it means that you know when to use them, and when it isnt necessary

yeah 2 cubes using 1/2 id definately use a lot of support dowels.

Hmm... 2 CuFt doesn't really require resin, but it couldn't hurt. My suggestion is to put some window braces, or dowels for support. The baffle maybe a little weak because you are mounting 6 subwoofers. I would suggest a double baffle for added support.
