I emailed tangband for box specs, this is what they sent me:

vb=12liters

v(total)=16.74 liters

fb=37.79hz

qL=7

f3=38.72hz

fill= minimal

# of vents=1

vent shape=round

dv=65mm

Lv=540mm

box is for (1) tangband w8-740p

ok, after doin some research: dv is the recommended port diameter in mm right? I converted 65mm to inches and got 2.55905, isn't this a little small for a sub? Does this mean I could use (2) 4" aeros (~24 sq. inches)???? Thanks in advance

What the hell is your first post asking?

Two 4" diameter ports for a single 8" sub is way overkill and your port length would need to be huge!

What should do is what they emailed you. Roughly .6 cubic feet before port and sub displacement and then a 2.5" port about 21" long. That should be a great enclosure for that sub. Why do you keep bumping this?

cause no one was replying. I was wanting to know if 2 4" ports would work for 4 of the 8's, sorry I put 1 for some reason......

Nobody was replying because you didn't ask anything in your first post. You posted specs to an enclosure that will work well with your sub and it was recommended by the company... what more did you need?

If you're going to do 4, two 4" ports should be alright. They would each need to be about 26" long.

ok, thanks man. Sorry for not asking my question, I was at work and guess I forgot. 0.6 before displacement so would say .4-.5 work?
