6.5-7^3 at 35hz works well. People have different opinions on what works best...I personally don't like the sub.

why don't you like them? I mean they **** sure don't sound the best but they get loud easily, kinda power hungry tho IMO

ah ok, well **** apart from my 15 se that I had all I'm used to is fart subs like the cvr's so this is a step up lol. that se sure did sound good tho, too bad it couldn't handle enough power

I think the HDC318's can sound great in the right box (I've had a HDC318 before). Maybe I don't have an SQ ear? Idk, but they are usually put in a 6 cube box. The main reason they sound bad is because people tune the boxes too high. I prefer 34 hz instead of 38. Makes a huge difference to my ear.
