Box sizes for Atomic APX

Here's the thing, I just bought an APX and am going to do a recone, I really wanted to do a 15" or 18" but they need such a big box according to Atomics website. It said the 15" and 18" box both need 6cf. For the 12" was 4cf and it never gave a spec for 10", which is what I currently have. In my current car space is a problem, but will be switching

Anyways, anyone ever tried a smaller that rec box? If so what driver size/box? How did it perform. Also this is for a daily driver, no competing, want it loud but very musical as well. If the driver would perform descent sealed I might just do an 18" sealed until I get a new vehicle. Thanks for any input.

I would call atomic today but I have a bad cold and can barely speak.

Personal EXP. / 3 ft3 with aeros is the absolute smallest for the 15 but I wouldn't recommend for just a single 15

Alright thank you! So 4cf after displacement is ideal for daily? Any reason to go another 0.5 or 1.0 cf bigger in a daily box?
