box size for TYpe Rs

I currently have the 05 TYpe R swr1242d in a ported box with 1.2 Cu.ft per sub . What box will they peform better and have deeper bass in. A 3.61 cu.ft ( W 34 H 13 1/4 TD 17 1/4 BD 17 1/4) total for two subs or a 5.23 Cu. Ft total volume (W 35 H 17 TD 20 1/4 BD 20 1/4 )
