Box Size for 10" TC-1000

I found it..

Just for future refrence for someone who is trying to find it:

Volume: Net internal volume of the enclouser minus the total port volume (if any) and minus the displament of the subwoofer which can almost unanimously be estamante as 0.1 cubic foot. We also recommend stuffing about half of the net volume with poly fill or fiberglass for all enclosures for dampening purposes.

Quick question..

What is adding PolyFill going to do to the sound of the sub? I know it makes the sub see the box as being larger but I'm not sure I really want that do I?

"minus the displament of the subwoofer which can almost unanimously be estamante as 0.1 cubic foot"

I got that off of the TC1000 page thank you very much. Your welcome to prove me wrong, actually I would gladly appreciate it.

0.08ft^3 is the sub displacement. Just make the enclosure to be about .9 cubic feet and you will be good. Slight poly fil will not really have much of an effect but some people swear it makes a world of difference. Try it with and without and see what you like best.

^ woo..I was off by .02 of a ^3ft..I'm sure it would have made one hell of a difference..but thanks for not helping anyways..

I think I'm going to go with a 1^3ft box due to other recommendations but thanks for the help Immacomputer..

you weren't off by anything...you didn't calculate anything

and i suggested the tc website, so i helped you

go build your 1 10" sealed box thats so important that you had to ask about it:rolleyes:

Did you fail to read what I copied and pasted from the TC Sounds website or did you just glance at it and say I'm wrong..

Just in case here's what was in it, "...minus the displament of the subwoofer which can almost unanimously be estamante as 0.1 cubic foot"

Now I know those are big words, in fact I don't think estamante is a word at all. However, it's pretty close to estimated..therefore a normal person can come to the conclusion it can be estimated that the standard subdisplacement can be calculated to be .1 cu ft. Also notice the word almost, which clarifies that it won't be everytime..but it'll probly be close. And I never said I calculated anything, that was an assumption made by you. What I said was .02 off. Which is what I said..

As far as you helping, you didn't help at all. Trust me, I know, I didn't get any help from what you said.

And if your not here to answer peoples question and think only stuff you do is so important. Then why are you here?
