throwin' hunnits, hunnits
I currently have one AQ SDC2.510 in 1.5 ft^3 @ 40 and on 900W. My new setup is going to be four RE RE 12's on 1200W.
For the new setup, I want it to be a low end monster. This is going to be in the bed of a single cab Dodge Dakota. I want to be able to do hairtricks, which I don't think should be a problem considering how small the cab of the truck is and how much cone area I'll have.
For the subs, RE recommends 1.25-1.5 ft^3 @ 35. Is 35 really low enough for hairtricks, because I see a lot of people tuning lower for them.
I was thinking 30-33 Hz, but also don't want to lose my high end (40-50). But would I have to worry about that? Considering four 12's is six times the cone area of one 10", wouldn't it still be louder at 40 Hz, even if the box was tuned as low as 30?
And for box size, I have no clue. I see a lot of people with groundpounders have bigger boxes. 4x1.5=6.0 ft^3, or should I make it bigger?
All opinions would be appreciated...
