box setup

i currently have one of the 04 cvr12 2 ohm kicker. i am powering it with a mtx421d which puts out about 450 watts. i know this will not be the best or even close to the best spl set up but i wanted to get as loud as i can with what i have. these box specs came off of kickers website. you guys tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions. any input will be helpful. 2.23 cf, fb=38hz, .44cf=port vol.

38hz sounds a bit high but it sounds like you want it just for being annoying *** load so i guess its ok

what would you suggest for demensions and tuning? i just want it loud but not to bad on the sq.

i would say tune it down a little to about 32 or 35hz 2.25-2.5cubes would probably do that sub pretty good

i though it seemed a little high from what i have read around the forums but i wanted to go with kicker specs since they had all the plans layed out for that box and i am new in the box ported box building area.

yeah I wouldnt tune any higher than 35...but thats because im more of an SQ guy.

yeah my SPL box is only tuned to 42hz
