Box rise?

Can somebody please explain how this works. If I buy a D2 sub and wire it to 1 ohm, I won't truly be at 1 ohm due to box rise ?

If so,

Would getting a D1 sub make more sense if box rise puts it above 1 ohm if wired at .5 ?

I would only worry about box rise if you are doing SPL. For musical box design, whetehr it's rap or rock, or whatever, just design it to whatever you want, and let the rise be whatever it is.
