It makes the box behave as though it was bigger, which usually lowers the frequency the sub will play and flattens out the response curve. Recommended for any box under 5 cu ft.

it slows the sound waves in the box down ......... and Yes it can make your sub sound better if your box is to little

since I have the subs in a small box so that I can acually have atrunk to put shit in the subs are in a smller box then they should be in

so I put the R14 pink panther insulation and the shit hit hard as hell

for thart small of a box it helps a lot the car just shakes
