Box question

Hi Guy's, I'm new to the site and Not Very Knowledgeable when it comes to audio. I have 2 12" MBQuartz 1000 watt 500 RMS, 4ohm that I need a box for.. I don't want to take up my whole Trunk (2002 Chrysler 300M) I'm looking to get a nice deep base if possible, they will be powered by a 1000 watt mono amp.. Not sure what else you need to know.... T.I.A..... Oh ported or Not ??

if you want ported chances are it is gna take up a lot of space in your trunk. sealed wont take up as much space, but you sacrifice your overall output and the possible potential of the subs. I say go 4 cubes net at 34hz for those subs, ported. I can design you a box

That has nothing to do with box size. Box design takes into account speaker dynamics as well as listener's preferences.

Thats only 2 cubes per subs not that big

yea about 4 cubes sounds right. Use aeroports so the box wont have to be as big and you will save some space that way

Well Outta curiosity I was trying to find the sub in question to find its specs... Not finding a 500rms sub

Now if I'm not mistaken a high qes means the sub will perform better in a sealed enclosure?
