if you use screws you wouldn't have to wait for the glue to dry and use those damn clamps.....

tell me why screws don't help? i don't think the glue penetrates 2" deep....

I need one of those clamps. I have the corner clamps.
And to rattlebrain, what do you mean properly.

Straight cuts, plenty of clamps, a goood quality wood glue.

Its not that hard. It's just a lot of people get in a hurry, and dont get good cuts or use enough clamps. IMO the more clamps the better. Gives less of a chance for voids to form between the clamps.

i believe by screwing the wood in, you are going against the woods make and splitting up what makes the wood....some sawdust and glue. thats my thinking. your right, screw penetrate deeper, but ur taking prolly an inch of surface away that glue could potential bond with. id rather have a chemical transformation rather than a physical.

my next build is like.... 5.2 cubes for sanmarcoszfreak. meeting him half way when a show hits ft. walton beach. just needs to get his money right so we can start on it. cabinet shops will be visited in and out of town to find the best prices for the best quality. im hoping to find one that will agree on 25 a sheet for cuts, as long as no angles are involved, and maybe like 2 dollars for every angle cut. so i can have a set price on boxes that i build and ship. may be almost shop prices but it will be far superior to shop quality.
