box program??~~~~~

does anyone know a program that will let u look at a 3-d view of the box ur looking at building... and a program that might give u the volume of the box or the tuning

im trying to figure out what size my box should be and how to "tune" it for my subs

any help will be appreciated... thanx

pretty much any drafting / 3d program (maya....3d studio max, ect) will work althogh they are not specificly for boxes. I do very complex designs in 3d studio, but for basic boxes (prisms and trapizodes) i just scale them in power point with the different view (PP works fairly well for basic geometric shapes).

Ive tried looking for that program BassBoxPro6 on PartsExpress.com and couldnt find it.

WinISD (beta and Pro alpha) will give you volumes/porting etc for tuning.. But no images.. just a lot of graphs (port air velocity, 'transfer function' .. the dB slopes at various freq. based on you tuning.. , and lots of other stuff..)

Not sure if it's 'free', but it's at worst shareware.. the Pro won't give you box dimensions, but the older beta will (but Pro has a lot of other better options.. and getting dimensions you need for any given box should be pretty simple)..

try looking at lineartteam.org and see if you can get it..
