box:long or deep?

should i make my box deeper than longer

or longer then deeper

i have always made them longer than deeper dont know why just did

but while i was drawing up plans for a box for my daily\

driver

i got to thinkin that if more of the airspace was behind the sub

instead of on the side of it it would move more of it and easier

is this correct?

by tha way the box is for a single 12l7

i can go 30" deep

30"wide

and 15" tall

so i figured 27" deep 20" wide and 14"tall

the way i build my box's the internal measurements would be 26"deep 18"wide and 12"tall which brings me to 3.25 cubes exact before port and woofer

which i think will be berfect for a dailt driver box

ive built bigger box's for these subs and they still sounded good
