Box Log - Three 1242D's,8.5cuft, 2000+Watts RMS

Yeah I guess i will stick with 3 subs. Power handling with 2 in there is probably like 400 each.

Well i found a piece of 12" PVC today that is 22 inches long and that would make the box come out to about 2.7ft each tuned to 35 if i cap off the other two ports at the bottom and put the PVC in the center cutout.but With 65in of port area each compared to 29 now.

So what would you guys reccomend:

3 subs, 2.6ft @ 37hz each, 700RMS Each, with 29^2 inches of square port each

OR

2 subs, 2.75ft@35hz each, 1000RMS Each, with 65^2 inches of port area each?

I really think the 2 might turn out to be louder.....My friend has two of the same subs so i might do some testing having 2 and 3 and trying it out.

Tune them lower, trust me. They come alive tuned low.
