is that port diff width throughout the box? thats an awful long narrow port...

its three inches wide at the outlet, (you cant tell because of the carpet though) and is something like 4-4.5 on the backside.

its not port area thats the problem. i canabalized my old box, and it never made this noise before.

just cause your old box sucked, doesn't mean this one cant. 4.5 down to 3 at the outlet??? and yeah you should have your port closest to square/round as possible to prevent laminant air flow...

changing port area isnt good...no telling what its tuned to.

well when i did the sketchup in winisd those are the dimensions it gave me...

its supposed to be

4.5^3 ft 54^2 inches of port, tuned to 34 hz

actually the back 3 or 3.75 inches wide, im nor sure.....

edit: just measured and its 3.5 inches on the back side.

Is there any reason why you didn't make the port a uniform length through-out the enclosure?

It would be great if you can post up the plans, or a schematic of the box...that way a few of us could look it over.

well...if that 33.5 is external that means 32" x 3" port

Giving you 96 square inches of port...not 54.

port length 1:7x22.5
