Box issue

Oh its moving for sure. lol. I just have no idea what is going on. Its almost like I need to do an aero port design, but I have no idea how to do that.

If you're not reaching mechanical limits, keep upping the box size. Bigger box = more efficient.
How does that work? Doesn't larger box also mean more impedance rise = less efficient?

Do you order them or what?

to an extent a bigger box will make your impedence rise more, but it also doesnt provide as nearly as much dampening, if you go too big it will be alot like IB where the only dampening is from the suspension but i dont see that happening in a trunk

also if you have put your hands on a warden you know its got retard strength... comparing my RD HW to a warden is night and day the suspension is so stiff

Impedence rise isnt' as big of an issue. If the box is getting bigger and the sub is moving more when you make the box bigger, then regardless of whether it's getting more or less actual power, it's obviously more effecient. Even if impedence rise is going way up, if the cone is moving more your getting more output and less power compression since the coils aren't getting hot. The amp is also more effecient and there is less strain on the electrical. As the box gets bigger you do have adjust tunign some as the peak of the actual enclosure of a small box and a bigger one at the same frequency isn't the same.
