How do I determine the port size? It calls for 1.6cu volume with "16 sq in vent that is 18.5 in long"...so how do I transfer those numbers into my box plans?

What tuning are you looking for? Judging by the "low tuning > god" in your sig, I figured you'd want some good low-end output.

Treo recomends 31. My Treo 15 was at 30 and I loved it..Id like to be slightly higher for competing sake. Perhaps closer to 34-35

and yes, low tuning>god

Well what they give you is tuned right around 35hz...box is kinda small though. If you can feed it plenty of power, no problem. But if you're hangin around RMS or a little less I'd go for something bigger, like 2ft^3.

Eventually it will get more power, but right now its only going to get slightly over rms.

And I know it probley seems small, but Treo always reccomends small enclosures. My 15 was in 2.5cu ft@30 and it slammed very hard

although it should be noted that the 15 was getting 500 over its rms

Wow, that is small for a 15. You should have tried it in something bigger and saw how it differed...might have liked it better in a little bigger box.

I had a box that was about 3.25 or so, but tuned up around 38 and it sounded like shit. I think that enclosure was too big for it to be getting fed well over rms on a daily basis. I set the subsonic like at 30-32 and it still sounded like it was bottoming out

Yeah, I imagine it would have been pretty peaky too. Going from 3.25ft^3 at 38hz to 2.5ft^3 at 30hz is a big difference in frequency response alone.

The 38hz box was just not very good at all. Despite it being tuned that high, I would not have been surprised if the 30hz box metered higher then the 38. The 30hz box was designed by Supergumby and he did a good job. The 38hz box was a crap job by a local shop (No i didnt buy it..lol)

I downloaded it, but couldnt figure out how to input my driver because it wasnt on the list...I actually ended up trying the RE calculater and that one is very simple to use. I was actually pretty close, when I input the dimensions and port width and length it came out to 34.5---- Hz, close enough. It was also like 1.63cu ft, again, close enough

Remember to consider sub and bracing displacement since the RE calc does not.

My sub I think is only like .1, so that leaves .2 for bracing and I am still at the 1.6.
